Harvest Festival & Bishop Paul

What a wonderful Sunday it was last week. We hosted our 2020 Harvest Festival in church and we were blessed with a visit from Rt Rev Bishop Paul Williams.

He took part in our service, reading a wonderful harvest festival story and performed our Eucharistic prayer and communion.

To end the Harvest Festival the Bishop, Father Andrew and Robert (Our Tower Keeper) ascended our beautiful and newly refurbished tower to bless it after the £125,000 renovation works completed earlier in the year. Below is a cheeky selfie of the 3 of them on the top of the tower.

After a busy Sunday the bishop attended York minster for the ordination of a new bishop of Sherwood and Southwell.

Such a busy time for our church and for the bishop.

We all thank Bishop Paul Williams for attending our service and we hope to see you again soon.

God Bless. x
